Compared to blood, the collection of saliva is a relatively easy task towards point-of-care diagnosis and screening. Biomarkers in saliva are closely related to ISF, and saliva is produced in large volumes. Our group is focused on developing wearable salivary devices such as pacifiers, mouthguard, and retainers for the monitoring of biomarkers in saliva.
